Virat Kohli scores second consecutive duck as India lose ODI series to Australia

India lost the second ODI to Australia by two wickets at Adelaide. Australia have clinched the 3-match ODI series with an unassailable 2-0 lead. Batting first, India managed to score 264/9 in their 50 overs. Rohit Sharma (73) was the top scorer for India followed by Shreyas Iyer (61) and Axar Patel (44). Virat Kohli was out for a duck. Adam Zampa picked up 4 wickets while Xavier Bartlett took 3.
Australia reached the target in the 47th over. Matt Short led the chase with 74 runs and Cooper Connolly made an unbeaten 61. For India, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Washington Sundar took 2 wickets each.
All eyes were on Virat and Rohit before the start of the India vs Australia ODI series While Rohit got out cheaply in the first ODI, he made 73 in today’s match. However, Virat was out on a duck even today. This is the first time in his ODI career that he is dismissed for two consecutive ducks. His gesture to the crowd after getting out indicated that he might played his last intranational game at Adelaide.
