India suffer humiliating 0-3 loss to New Zealand at home; ‘I don’t regret my shot selection,’ says Rohit Sharma

Indian men cricket team saw a new low today as they lost a lost a home series for the first time in the history of Indian cricket. Chasing a target of 147 at Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium, India were bowled out for 121 runs giving New Zealand a 3-0 series victory. While captain Rohit Sharma took ‘full responsibility’ of the series loss, he defended his shot selection.
Said Rohit after the match, “Something like this will be a very low point in my career, having lost 3 matches at home. I fully take responsibility of that as a captain and leader. I have not been at the best of my abilities right from the start of the series. With the bat as well, I have not been good enough.”
Rohit managed to score just 11 years before he got out to Matt Henry while playing a pull shot. He said, “When you are chasing a target like that, you want to try and put pressure on the bowlers. You can’t allow them to bowl in one particular slot. I played a bad shot but I don’t regret it honestly speaking. That has given me a lot of success in the past. So I will continue to do that. Every now and then, I will reflect on what I need to do as a batter.”
